This duvet is filled with a perfect blend of feather and down, in a ratio of 80 to 20. The duvet is therefore perfectly balanced and provides everything a customer can expect from a duvet.
The all-natural cover made of cotton further improves breathability, and the cover is soft and cosy. This product is available in two different versions. TOG rating varies. TOG 10.5 is for those who want an all-season duvet, and 13.5 TOG is a great choice if you need a winter duvet. Other features are the same, including that both are machine washable. What we like about it

The common problems with this duvet & how to solve them
It is pretty tough to point out any major downside of it since we have not noticed anything significant. However, nothing is perfect, so we will mention that no version is 100% suitable for all seasons.
Although the 10.5 TOG version is breathable and even cooling when we consider the TOG rating, it is still not perfect for summer. There is virtually no solution for that, but cold sleepers will certainly not agree with us.
If vegans have a problem with feather and down, they should look for a Cloud bamboo duvet or wool duvet since they have similar characteristics.
What makes this product better than some other similar ones?
Although synthetic materials are used even more in recent years and we can certainly understand why this is the case, we still like to test a product like the Silentnight Hungarian Goose Feather & Down duvet which is made from 100% natural materials. Synthetics have certain advantages, and that is primarily the price, but it will never be able to provide the same level of comfort and breathability as feather, down and cotton. It is the materials that make this product better than some other similar ones. Another thing we have to mention is the 5 year warranty. It is certainly something that makes this product better than some other similar ones and that no one can dispute.
How did we test the product?
Before you start shopping, decide which TOG rating you want. We have of course ordered both, so that we can provide you with an in-depth review. We waited a few days for the duvets to be delivered to us, and delivery is scheduled within 3-5 working days. You can choose contactless delivery.
When they arrived, we unpacked them and checked all the seams. Everything looked perfect, which is a must for a duvet that costs 100 and more pounds. We then washed them, both as part of a maintenance test and to prepare them for overnight tests.
Duvets are tricky to test because they have to be tested by cold sleeper, hot sleepers, allergy sufferer and many other types of people in order to be able to recommend a particular product to you. That is why the testing of this duvet, like most others, lasted more than 10 days. All members of our test team tested both models in different conditions.
Overall impressions of the product after the testing
In our opinion it is one great product. Silentnight has used premium materials and you will feel it if you only use it for half an hour. Feather and down blend characteristics as well as cotton cover are ideal for duvet. It is breathable, so you will not sweat, and you will not be cold either.
We were very pleasantly surprised with condition of the filling after washing.
What we expected when we tested the all-season 10.5 TOG is that it will be less warm. However we canβt say itβs all-season because itβs too hot for summer for most people. Other than that, we have nothing else negative to add and that is why our overall impression is at a very high level after testing.
