Four tips
With these earbuds, you will receive three other foam tips so you can find the ones that fit your ear the best. They come fitted with the small size, however, youβll see clear packets for the other sizes. The tips come in extra small, medium and large as well. The size range is very wide so youβre likely to have one of them that fits you.
it is essential to get the right size for your ear canal so they sit flush and can reduce as much noise as possible. If they are too small, sound will get around and if they're too big then they won't be snug to the ear which also allows noise to pass through. Try out each size before committing to one set. Review of the QuietOn 3.1 Sleep Earbuds
When I received the product, I liked the simplicity of the packaging and how easy everything was to find. You could clearly see where the instructions were, the different earbud tips and the charging cable. The packaging reflects the simplistic look of the actual product.
Then it was time to start putting the product to the test. The first step was finding what tips fit my ear size best. I could instantly tell which ones wouldnβt and narrowed it down to a couple of the sizes. It was fairly easy for me to pick the right ones, however, if youβre still stuck between two then itβs worth trying them both out for a couple nights each. Once youβve given them a test run, you can see which set gave you better sleep.
To compare these earbuds to other alternatives on the market, I found that theyβre much smaller than Apple AirPods and therefore a lot more comfortable to sleep with – especially for someone who mainly sleeps on their side. The negative to it is not being able to listen to music properly, like you can with AirPods.
In comparison to ordinary silicone earplugs or foam earplugs, those do the bare minimum whereas the QuietOn uses smart technology to block out the noises that matter.

Thereβs always something to like about popular products and we can see why people enjoy using these earbuds. We have picked out a few of the selling points and why you would like them too. Here they are:
- First of all, they are easy to use once you have found the correct tip size. Open up the case, follow the instructions on how to fit them snugly into your ear and let the noise cancelling activate. Get comfy in bed and enjoy a peaceful sleep. Thatβs all there is to it.
- Weβre impressed with the long battery life. These little earbuds will last you for a few night's sleep without having to be recharged. There are small lights inside the case, at the front, to show you the charge of each earbud. When they get low, you can pop them back in the charging case and plug it in with the USB-C cable thatβs provided.
- A big advantage to these earbuds is side sleepers can use them too. As someone who sleeps on their side a lot, Iβve always found AirPods or earplugs uncomfortable to sleep with. I fidget a lot in my sleep so this is definitely a positive for me. I can sleep in any position without being disturbed.
What we didnβt like about the QuietOn 3.1 Sleep Earbuds
Of course, youβre not going to please everyone and earplugs arenβt everyoneβs cup of tea. So, we have come up with a few things that might not make you want to get them. You can weigh up the points to see if theyβre for you.
- One major downside to this product is the price. They are very expensive and you may not be to afford them or you might find a cheaper alternative that works just as well. The small design might be worth the money for side sleepers, however, those who arenβt could find something bigger but cheaper and still comfortable.
- Theyβre not as ideal for those who rely on white noise or music playing in the background. While it is still possible to do this, it will sound quite muffled and dulled down so itβs not what youβre used to.
- You are still likely to hear sudden sounds and people talking even with them which isnβt great. The sudden sounds shouldnβt be as impactful but there is still a chance of you being woken up. And, in an ideal world, you wouldnβt have people talking around you while youβre trying to sleep anyway.

Overall impressions of the product after the testing
As someone who likes to go to sleep with some noise, I wasnβt sure how I would feel about these earbuds. I usually sleep with music or a podcast playing but these donβt have an option for that. Although on the packaging it says βchoose a noisy environment to get started. Put some background music on!β So this made it seem as though you could still listen to music with the earbuds in.
After trying them out at night, I found they dulled down lower noises so they almost werenβt there. Like snoring or traffic, but not so much for higher frequencies. This did mean I could listen to some music whilst wearing them. However, you canβt play it just for you which isnβt ideal if you share a room with someone who doesnβt like noise. And donβt worry, they still allowed me to hear my alarm in the morning so you wonβt miss your alarm for work. These earbuds are cleverly designed to block out unwanted sounds over the natural ones that help you sleep.
In summary, there are no relaxing sounds with it and you can't stream music, nor does it leave you in complete silence. Its purpose is to quiet down noisy environments such as traffic noise or train noise so you can fall asleep naturally.
Many sleep aids use white noise or soothing sounds to block out the noise which isn't for everyone. Whereas, QuietOn noise-cancelling earbuds cancel out the surrounding noise. Whether these earbuds are for you or not is a personal preference, depending on what helps you to sleep.

How do the QuietOn Sleep Earbuds work?
They reduce the unwanted sound by adding in another sound that is able to cancel it out. It uses a microphone to take a sample of the sound and a speaker that takes the sound to create a phase-shifted sound. This new sound cancels out the original sound.
