Fully adjustable
This is probably one of the biggest selling points for this memory foam pillow. After all, nothing is worse than getting a brand-new pillow, only to realise that it's uncomfortable or that it doesn't suit your sleeping style.
But with adjustable pillows, that isn't a possibility. That's because you can manipulate it completely by adding or removing some of the fillings. Do you sleep on your stomach and want a firmer pillow? Just add some stuffing. Is the loft too high and your neck is strained? Just remove some stuffing.

For one, unlike down or feathers, memory foam is very easy to take out, put back in, and store for later use. If the pillowcase does get damaged from prolonged use, you don't have to worry about the memory foam getting everywhere and making a huge mess.
Plus, it makes the pillow have a bit more airflow through the product. If you sleep hot, you might have been burned by a memory foam pillow in the past as they can hold onto heat and make things a bit uncomfortable during the night. So, Aeyla combined the two and we all stand to gain from it.
Number two is breathability. While having the memory foam shredded does allow for the air to move more freely, it wouldn't mean much if the pillow was encased in thick, synthetic material. Cotton on the other hand only helps in this department and makes the pillow even more breathable.
Lastly, cotton is naturally hypoallergenic. So, while it's not advertised as fully dust mite resistant, just like any other hypoallergenic pillow, The FOAMO will keep your allergies at bay. On top of that, all the materials used have been Oeko-tex certified so you don't have to worry about any harmful chemicals either.
Review of The FOAMO Pillow
This memory foam pillow comes with a lot of strengths and a few avoidable weaknesses. Firstly, the pillow is easy to adjust and can fit any sleeping position imaginable – as someone who always changes their sleeping positions, I found this pillow extremely comfortable.
The shredded memory foam makes for some added comfort and the cotton outer shell keeps things nice and cool. After testing the product, I felt it was soft to the touch because the cover is quilted cotton. The pillow is also hypoallergenic and has the added touch of the Aeyla self-care label, which can be found on other sleep products.
There are minor issues – like slight off-gassing, only one size being available, and difficulties with maintenance. But, as you'll soon see, most of these issues can be solved rather easily.

What we like about the Aeyla FOAMO pillow
In case you're still uncertain about whether this is the right pillow for you, let's go over The FOAMO's biggest selling points once more:

- When adjusting the pillow, be aware that the filling can easily fall out when the inner zip is opened – as I found out when reviewing. If you are washing the pillow, make sure you only unzip the outer one because you don't want to change the density once you have found the ideal amount of filling.
- We found that the insert is difficult to remove from the cover and once removed it has to be carefully cleaned, meaning that maintenance of the pillow is a lot more difficult and time-consuming.
- Since it is a memory foam pillow, you should expect some off-gassing in the beginning.

Since this pillow is fully adjustable, you might be thinking “how much stuffing am I supposed to take out/put in to have a good night's sleep?” Well, although it isn't an exact science, we found a few general guidelines you can follow.
For those who are predominantly side sleepers (or change position, like me) just leave the memory foam pillow as is. However, if you're a back sleeper, remove around 1/4 of the stuffing. And for stomach sleepers, take out around 1/3 of the stuffing. Of course, you should fine-tune the pillow to your exact preferences, but this is a good starting point. Make the most of the 30-night trial period to find what works to make it a supportive pillow for you and if it works with any mattresses you may have at home.

The cover is difficult to remove and memory foam tends to be pretty delicate when it needs a wash, so it can be a bit of a process. However, if you just get some pillow covers, you don't have to worry about a thing!

Overall impressions of the product after the testing
Overall, we were more than satisfied with The FOAMO Pillow. When testing the pillow, I found every sleeping position comfortable on this memory foam pillow. I found that I was able to easily adjust the pillow to suit different needs and while it wasn't as quick as with The Dual (Mela) pillow, it was a lot more precise.
The memory foam pillow itself has a fluffy softness and is super comfortable. When fully stuffed, the pillow offers good support while keeping the spine aligned and I didn't have any neck aches when using the pillow either.
Lying your head on the pillow felt supportive whilst changing shape to suit your position. It would then return to its original shape when you get up.
So, weighted blankets might have been Aeyla's claim to fame, but their pillows aren't far behind either!
