Silentnight, a well-known UK sleep company, has launched the Wellbeing collection which includes various sleep products that should relieve the stress we face every day. We have already tested the lavender-scented pillow from the Wellbeing collection, and now it is time to do the same with other pillows like Silentnight Wellbeing Copper Infused pillow.

This deeply filled pillow is for side and back sleepers. We have to say that first, because only after that come other characteristics that should generally suit everyone. It is also for those who have allergies and those who take special care of their facial skin because copper is known to reduce skin irritations.

Machine-washable

Wellbeing Copper Infused pillow is a fully machine washable at 40 degrees C, so you will have no problem keeping it perfectly clean. And don’t worry, copper properties won’t diminish with washing.

This is medium firm pillow, filled with hollowfibre and the soft/knitted cover is made of polyester. Polyester fabric is infused with copper due to the many benefits of copper, including the natural beauty benefits. Copper is a very unsuitable environment for the life and development of bacteria, dust mites and other microbes. It also boosts collagen production, which means that using this pillow has anti-aging benefits. And it also reduces inflammation, leading to a reduction in acne problems.

Loft and firmness are appropriate for side and back sleepers. The cover is not removable, but the pillow is fully machine washable.

What we didn’t like about Silentnight Wellbeing Copper Infused pillow

• It is not suitable for stomach sleepers, because due to loft and firmness they cannot achieve spine alignment
• The cover is not removable, so you have to wash the whole pillow every time or use a pillowcase
• There is no option to try and return it, although it is an industry-standard practice.

The common problems with Silentnight Wellbeing Copper Infused pillow & how to solve them

It's kind of hard to single out a “problem”. There are a few drawbacks like with any product, but they are not really problems that can be seen as such. The first thing is that the pillow is not suitable for stomach sleepers, which means that if you are a stomach sleeper, you will have to look elsewhere.
The second thing is that the cover is not removable. The first one's unsolvable. That's just the way it is.
However, the second issue can be solved by using a pillowcase. This way, you will be able to keep the pillow cleaner without having to wash the entire thing every time.

What makes this product better than some other similar ones?

What we consider to be the main thing that makes Wellbeing Copper Infused pillow better than some other similar ones is copper content. It has approximately 3 times more copper compared to other copper pillows on the market.

How did we test the product?

You won’t have to wait long for your Wellbeing Copper Infused pillow to arrive, as delivery to the UK Mainland usually takes 3 to 5 business days. If you opt for the UK Mainland express option, then it will arrive in a day to two, from Monday to Friday and for orders placed before 2pm.

It arrives packaged like other Silentnight pillows, in a clear plastic bag. When you open it, hardly any off-gassing is present. It does not contain memory foam so this is to be expected. Everywhere on the knitted cover they let you know that it contains copper, and you will also see copper colour.

The pillow is of good quality and we did not have any objections during the quality inspections. The loft seems high, but when you lie down on the pillow, you sink. When you sink, then you will feel support. Due to the overall characteristics, we think it is best for side sleepers, closely followed by back sleepers. Breathability is good because of the hollowfibre, though we can’t say this is a cooling pillow.
We washed it in the washing machine at 40 degrees C, and then we left it to dry since there is no information anywhere on whether you can tumble dry it or not.

Overall impressions of the product after the testing

Overall, we are happy with the Silentnight Wellbeing Copper Infused pillow. It is a good quality pillow that should last you a long time. It is best for side sleepers, but back sleepers can also use it.
The main thing that sets it apart from other similar pillows on the market is the high copper content. If you are looking for a copper-infused pillow, then this one should be at the top of your list of potential prospects.

All in all, it does what it's made to do – be a decent quality, comfortable pillow that'll keep you nice and chilly. It's not the best pillow we've ever tried, but it's definitely worth trying at this price point.
Overall grade, at this price point – 9 out of 10.
